Walk it off

This last week has been a lot of fun. While I haven't been running or doing a lot of the other activities we have been walking..... a lot. I do however feel that the hikes should be worth more because a hike in Utah is a lot harder than a hike else where. Just food for thought. Keep it up ya'll!!!!

p.s. Our ward also had an assignment to clean the rodeo grounds after it ended do you think it would be fair to get points for that?

A hike in Utah is not harder. I can hike in Iowa and exert more effort than someone slacking in Utah.

so you mean to say that hiking mount timponogos is easier than hiking a hill? I will grant it that you can have strenuous hikes but I think that there should be different intensity levels so you can get different amounts of points based on intensity of hike not just 5 for a hike

Maybe cleaning the rodeo grounds is similar to 'walking around the neighborhood' for 3 points?

well we had to clean off the bleachers then rake up the trash then scrub the bleachers down which you wouldn't do walking so do you guys think that five is fair?

It can be easier. When the only constant is the route you are taking then everything else is variable. Intensity is the effort YOU put forth. Think about this: If I run a mile in 5 minutes and you run a mile in 5 minutes, who is exerting more effort?

depends on the concentration of O2 available.

No, it depends on your individual effort.

I think 5 is fair, Jon.
