Normally, when we go to Costco, Tanya tries to park somewhere near the yellow circle. But last night, we took this challenge to heart, and parked all the way out in the boonies where the green circle is (google maps is a bit out of date; that building has been razed and more of Costco's parking lot put in its place). And the girls had fun walking that far out, past lots of empty stalls! Seeing the aerial view after the fact kind of puts it in perspective.
Remember, parking's a lot easier, AND you get exercise (and points), by going to the opposite end.

Good job! It is fun to see your visual - it's a lot further, huh? We did the same thing at Wal-Mart today... so nobody could scratch Zorro! (Well, and to get our exercise!)
Since we've started the game, I've mostly only been to work, where I don't really have the option of parking far away, because I'm in a vehicle others use, too. But we'll definitely park far away next time we're at the store!
Yeah for you guys! I liked the visual, too. Man, I forgot to park in the ends of the lots today. When the lot is small particulary, I tend to just park closer. What a good reminder.
I work at the church. Since the far ends of the parking lot are back-to-back to a questionable part of a neighborhood, I'm not really anxious for my car to be parked there all day all by itself. So . . . I park close by the door, then walk all the way out to the end of the parking lot, then come back. Spencie says that's okay. He laughed and said only Mom and Jennifer would do that. hehe
It's true! It's totally a short person (aka, Jen or Mom) kinda thing to do! But way to go, Mom!
Short person? What does that have to do with it? I agree that I'd do it - to earn the points that I can't get because of not feeling safe to leave the car there. But, why the comment about being short?
Jen, I wasn't trying to insult you by calling you short. I was just thinking of a category for you and Mom that I don't fit... and short was the best I could come up with at the time! I'm open to other suggestions, of course.
You're not short, you're saying? You're what, two inches taller than me???
