New Weight Watchers

Weight Watchers introduced a new program this week called Points Plus. It has some changes from the old plan. You get a higher points allowance and more weekly points, but many foods are also higher points. However, basically all fruits and veggies are now 0 points. Also, instead of calculating points values based on calories, fat, and fiber, they calculate Points Plus values based on protein, carbs, fat, and fiber. If any of you are interested in learning more about the new program, let me know soon. The only way to find food points now is to buy their books, to pay for the online tracker, or to buy a points calculator - no more slide rules. But they are having a sale on the calculators, so I can get you one for $6 if you let me know soon.

Weekly Committment

It really helped me to send my tracker to Emily, so I'm just going to keep picking on family members. This week, I will track EVERYTHING I eat and mail my tracker to the Blakes.

Also, my water consumption has gone seriously down, and I notice that I tend to over-eat a lot more when I am thirsty, so I will track my daily water and add it as a comment on here each day. I'm shooting for at least 6 cups a day, although 8 would be even better for me!

Goals again!

I did great for a couple of weeks at going to bed early. But then it started sliding.

So, this week, after staying up to go to Wal-Mart at midnight for costumes, I'll be going to bed earlier. I just have more energy to exercise and eat right when I sleep better!!

Grr... Weight Watchers... Grr...

Well, if you ever (as I did) do Weight Watchers Online (which I do suggest) and then try to switch to do a Monthly Pass so that you can get a hard copy of the materials, just beware: nothing you did online will count at the actual meeting location you choose. Apparently the Online program is a completely separate entity than any place that is franchised around here.

So, that means, according to the AF WW, I just started this week, and that my total weight loss (at least until I weigh in again tomorrow) is a grand 0. So I really just want to lose weight to rub it in their face for as long as I'm a member (which will only be a month more). It's actually a good motivation - this week I lost another 2 pounds!

So there, Weight Watchers. I've gone around your system and I've lost 25 pounds on my own and I will still lose the rest of the weight I need to without going to your meetings. Pooh.

Lost weight

Well this week I only exercised for 4 days instead of 5 as Monday was my birthday and Eric let me sleep, and at the end of the week it was too cold for me to walk the 5k so I walked around the park. I did lose some weight this week I was 199.2 the last time I weighed myself and last week I was 202.4 so some weight loss. I have been eating more sugar things, as I have been feeling faint again.

This week I will walk 5 days even though they might be around the park as snow is in the forecast, we shall see.

    Week 3

    (I'm setting my goal today because my WW weeks start on Saturday morning.)

    I BLEW it last week. I mean, big time. Totally off the charts, big weight gain, ate a bunch of candy, stopped tracking because I was so far over points, BLEW it.

    So this week, my goal is to track EVERYTHING I eat. No matter what. And at the end of the week, I will mail my tracker to Emily. How's that for accountability?!

    Goal Take 2

    Well I didn't lose weight this week, but at least I am trying, I didn't eat much candy or sweets, but I did walk for 5 days with Abbie.

    I will try to continue to lose weight and not eat too much of the sugar stuff, even though we do need sugar. I almost fainted on Thursday while I was working with the dogs, but I caught myself and sat down for 10 minutes and had some pure sugar, after that I was fine, I hope that it doesn't happen too often.

    Goal Take 2

    I did pretty well with my goal last week. I did track everything I ate. I stayed in my weekly points every night except Friday, where I used 5 exercise points. (But I still had 20 exercise points left after that.) I ended up losing 3 pounds this week! Yay!

    My goal this week is to continue my goal from last week. Again, track everything I eat. Again, I can use as many of my 35 weekly points as I want, but I don't want to use any exercise points. Let's have another great week, family!

    Another Week, Another Goal

    Last week my goal was to go to bed by 10:30 every night. Well, I improved, but I wasn't perfect. I went to bed by 10:30 most nights. One night I was 10 minutes late. Another night I was 30 minutes late. Saturday night I was almost an hour and a half late. I guess Eric and I had a lot of catching up to do.

    Anyway, this week, I'm going to work on it again. Being in bed by 10:30 felt good. And I'm going to add on to it keeping track of my WW points this week as well. This is gonna be hard. But I'll work on it!

    Seconds

    My goal this week is to not take seconds. I have to eat at both lunches (AM and PM classes) because I'm not gone during one lunch because I don't get a break. This year they told us that apparently all adults are supposed to eat (or fake eat) at all the meals to set an example for the kids. So, it'll be tricky to not take seconds at work, but I know my dinner group meals are more doable.

    Weekly Goal

    My goal is to get out of the house every lunch break, whether it be for a bike ride or for walking Abbie while running an errand like going to the post office.

    Less Candy

    My goal for this week is to try and lose 2 pounds and eat more fruits and vegetables and stay away from candy and sweet things. Easier said than done when there are still conference candy hanging around and chocolate from England that just arrived. However I will try.

    Resurrection

    As those who were on chat tonight know, several of us feel like we're losing ground. The habits we worked so hard to cultivate this summer are slowly disappearing. So, we want to resurrect this blog to use it for motivation, encouragement, and goal setting.

    Here's my goal for the week:

    I WILL stay in my Weight Watchers points this week. I will track everything I eat this entire week, and at the end of the week, I will use none of my exercise points, only some of my weekly points as needed.

    I'll report back next Sunday. And if you're struggling, I'm right there with you! Feel free to talk to me for encouragement!

    Busy week

    Well this week was busy with me at the Adoption Place with cleaning out and getting further and further along every day. Read the blog for more on what happened this week. Saturday I went for a very early walk like 5 am as I couldn't sleep with Abbie, again if you don't know see blog, it was 3.3 miles according to Google Earth. I don't know if I lost any weight this week, but its OK, I will probably lose more while walking again this week every morning with a flash light. Oh the joys of owning a dog.
