I suggest a change in points
After talking to Emily about her hard week of no sweets (this last week) and my week (the week before) and reading Spencer's email about how hard it is, I suggest we change the points for that item. Maybe double it to 14 so that it averages to 2 points/day instead of just the 1/day it is currently. What do you guys think? Of course, that means those of us who have already done it and counted the 7 points wouldn't get to back track and get additional points, but maybe we up it to 14 from here on out? What say ye peeps?

Or we could change it to a day without sweets and have it be worth either 1 or 2 points per day. That way if someone only gets halfway through the week, they can still get some sort of reward. Personally, I like sweets WAY too much, so I haven't been willing to tackle that one yet. But if it went by days rather than by a whole week, I might be more willing to try. And I agree that a whole week should be worth 14! :)
I think we should leave it alone and stop messing with all the points.
I think that making yourself go a whole week without sweets is crazy indeed. "Normal" skinny people don't cut them out all together, so why should we? How 'bout just eat them less?
I don't plan on aiming for the no sweets goal every week. I couldn't handle that. But, it seems worth more than what it is currently for the effort (and sacrifice) involved. I think the entire week is better than each day by day because cutting sweets for a day is comparitively easier and thus doesn't make one 'work' as hard on the goal.
So what do we mean about sweets, I am taking it as dessert and not candy what is everyone else doing?
It says 'use your discretion,' but personally I took it as no candy as well as desserts when I did it a few weeks ago.
